About

Kelly McCready
DIRECTOR/WRITER & PRODUCER
"I really love the grounded beauty of David Cromer, the expressionism of Eastern European theatre, and the physicality and gestures of Rebecca Frecknall and Pina Bausch. My background as an actor gives me a bunch of tools to pull from to get excellent performances."
Kelly McCready is a director/writer originally from Australia who divides her time between London and NYC. In addition to film, she has been directing for theatre in New York for the last ten years. Kelly has lived in England, Cuba, Germany, Spain, Guam, Australia and NYC. She studied at Case Western Reserve University and the Moscow Art Theatre School. The stories she’s most interested in usually have a social slant. She also works professionally as a photographer, giving her a clear visual language.
